Welcome!

Hello!

My name is Amelia Robertson, and it is my privilege to share with you the word of God through devotions, poems, and other writings.

Since I was young, I have felt God calling me to serve him by sharing his truth. I wanted to start a blog and online business from home but never knew where to start until now.

I decided to trust God and take the leap of faith to create Homemakers Cornerstone.
This is a place where I can share my devotions, thoughts, and homemaking.

I plan to share tips on homemaking and products that have helped make my life as a housewife easier.

My goal is to reach other people with God’s word using my everyday life experiences.

I am a sinner who loves God, and I just want to share all the ways he makes himself known in my life, so that I can help others as he has helped me.

The Lord has blessed me with many interests to use in his ministry, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you who takes an interest in Homemakers Cornerstone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy the content that has been provided. Have a blessed day!

Sincerely,
Amelia Robertson

How Did Homemakers Cornerstone Get Its Name?

A homemaker is someone who cares for the home and puts the needs of those living in it first.

A cornerstone is a base from which a house is built. It provides a starting point for a stable foundation and stability for everything it holds.

I am a homemaker, and Jesus is the cornerstone of my life, beliefs, marriage, home, and purpose. The walls are joined together by the cornerstone; I am joined together with God and my husband through Jesus Christ.

Although, they are only two words they both carry many meanings and sum up the center of my life. God is my homemaker, and his only son Jesus is my cornerstone.

“As you come to him, the living stone rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him. You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in the scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”
1 Peter 2: 4-7, NIV

Homemakers Cornerstone
When God Speaks, Creation Listens“He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”Job 37:6 (NIV)I was standing on the porch this morning watching the snow fall all around me. The quiet, steady descent of each flake drew my attention to how different the landscape looked just a day before. What had once been bare and familiar was now softened and transformed. It’s amazing what God can do with a single word. The snow does not hesitate or question, it simply obeys. Yet in our daily routines, we can become so accustomed to seasons and weather that we grow blind to the miracles unfolding around us. The changing of creation happens right before our eyes, but familiarity dulls our wonder.Every day, an ending becomes a beginning, and a beginning quietly gives way to an end. These cycles repeat again and again, reminding us that God is always at work; renewing, restoring, and reshaping. When we pause long enough to notice, even falling snow becomes a testimony of His power and faithfulness.Lord, thank You for speaking to creation and for reminding me of Your power through the simple beauty around me. Forgive me for the times I rush past Your miracles without noticing. Help me to slow down, to see with fresh eyes, and to trust You in every season of my life. Open my heart to the lessons You are teaching and renew my sense of wonder at all You do. In Jesus name, Amen.#DailyDevotional #FaithInEverySeason #GodOfCreation #WinterDevotional #SeeingGod #EverydayMiracles #PauseAndNotice #ScriptureReflection #TrustGod #QuietMoments See MoreSee Less

"The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it."Proverbs 22:3 ESVIf you are in the path of the winter storm this weekend you're not alone. I wanted to share the list of things I do before every storm to make sure my home is prepared. It is important to watch weather updates and stay home, off the roads if you can. Remember putting salt out on porches, sideways, and driveways is not safe if you have pets.AI overview from Google: ***"No, you generally should avoid using traditional rock salt on sidewalks if you have dogs, as it can cause painful paw burns, skin irritation, and serious internal poisoning if ingested when they lick their paws or drink salty slush. Safer alternatives include pet-friendly ice melts, sand, or kitty litter for traction, and always wipe your dog's paws after walks to remove residue."***I have also provided a link in the comments to my post, "Learn How to Stay Prepared for a Power Outage".Stay warm and safe out there! #PowerOutage #PowerOutagePrep#EmergencyPreparedness #EmergencyPlanning#DisasterPreparedness #BlackoutReady#GridDown #EmergencyReadiness#HomeSafety #FamilyPreparedness#PreparedHome #HouseholdSafety#StayPrepared #SafetyPlanning See MoreSee Less
